How do we tell what the air quality is in Doncaster?
To be able to say if the air quality is low (good), moderate (medium) or high (poor) we
compare them to the chart opposite.
We have equipment around Doncaster that measures the levels of the different harmful
stuff.
This equipment is located in different places where we think air quality will be at its
worst. The instruments we use are called analysers and they live inside ‘Groundhog’ units
which we can move around – like a caravan.
They collect lots and lots of data that we have to compare against the air quality chart
and we also do some maths with the results for our reports.
