The Licensing Service deal with:

• All applications for premises which require licensing, and ensure that they meet required standards
• Ensure that hackney carriages and private hire vehicles are mechanically safe
• Maintaining standards for vehicles used as taxis or private hire vehicles
• Checking that all drivers of the above vehicles are responsible and safe
• Control all house to house and street collections

A 3 year review of the Doncaster Statement of Licensing Policy was carried out and comments were invited from members of the public up to the 10 December 2007.
