This information is for premises which are licensed to sell alcohol.
Definition: Alcohol Licensed Premises
With effect from 24 November 2005 "alcohol licensed premises" means:
- Premises with a premise licence granted under the Licensing Act 2003, authorising the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises, as defined by the Licensing Act 2003
- Under the previous law, premises with Part IV justices licenses under the 1964 Act (hotels and restaurants) could not obtain a permit under s.16. This limitation has now been removed under the new act
- Any premises with a licence for the consumption of alcohol on the premises, granted under the 2003 Act will therefore be entitled to apply for a permit on or after 24 November 2005.
How many gaming machines can I have in my pub/liquor licensed premises?
We can issue licensed premises gaming machine permits for three or more category C or D machines, providing that the applicant is the person named on the liquor licence and that they pay the prescribed fee.
We may also take into account any other matters which are considered relevant to the application, such as having regard to our Statement of Gambling Licensing Policy on licensed premises gaming machine permits.
