Roadworks Report
Roadworks and Streetworks

As a Highways Authority, the council is responsible for the maintenance of the principal (A) roads and borough roads within the Doncaster borough. For details of the current roadworks in and around Doncaster please download the report which is attached to this page.
Phase 2 of the A6182 White Rose Way
From Monday 23rd April works will commence to widen the section of the A6182 between Junction 3 of the M18 to the B&Q roundabout, which will require the nearside lane of the A6182 to be reduced to a single running lane but this will only occur after the morning peak period, initially between the hours of 0930hrs with the road returned to 2 lanes by 1900hrs. This lane restriction will be in place Mon to Fri and is proposed to be used till the 1st June.
Update on Major Gas Works in Town Centre
The lane closures on the A630 Trafford Way have been totally removed and there is now no longer a need to close the entrance to the main Bus Interchange over a series of weekends which had been initially proposed.
Works and lane closures continue on the A630 Cleveland Street but they should also be removed by no later than 12th June which will complete a 4 year contract to reline a 24 inch gas main from the Rotherham boundary through to Doncaster town centre.
However to enable the works to be completed as of Tuesday 22 May for up to 21 days a one way system will be introduced from a point with St James Bridge (and the up ramp from A630 Cleveland Street) in a Northerly (town centre direction) to a point just North of the entrance with St James Car Park.
In addition please note the following emergency works:
The A60 Doncaster Road between Wadworth and Tickhill has been subject to serious mining subsidence. Urgent works are required to stabilise the carriageway, certainly in the short term. A 40mph speed limit on the affected section of the A60 which spans an approximate distance of 750 metres will remain in place for a period of up to 18 months, together with advance signs explaining the reason why the speed limit has been reduced.
