Thousands of spectators will go along to the various events taking place in villages and towns along the route and at the finish on Bennetthorpe near Doncaster town centre where there is a dedicated fan zone on the Town Field with loads of fun things for the whole family to do.

On Saturday 30 April 2016, Doncaster played host to the globally-renowned cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire. Over one million people turned out to watch the Women’s race and Stage Two of the Men’s race with a large proportion of these people lining the 37 miles of the borough’s roads as the world's best cyclists raced through to the finish on Bennetthorpe.
