9.1 Libraries
 
Central Children's Library

The Central Children's Library in Doncaster is open Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.30am-6.00pm and Saturday 9am-5pm. It closes for lunch every day between 1pm and 2.15pm. Local branch libraries have collections of children's material and some have homework and study clubs (check with your local branch for details).  Services include loans of books and other materials. Holiday activities include storytelling sessions, crafts, and an annual summer reading game.

Altogether Sports Club is for young people aged 14-25 years with a disability.  It is held on Tuesday evenings from 5.30pm-7.00pm at the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre in Denaby Main and costs 50p per session.

Millennium Volunteers is a country wide project that provides opportunities for young people to volunteer and gain experience for their future.  There is a mainstream project as well as a project solely for people with disabilities.  The age range for the scheme is 16-24 years of age.

The 5-13 Project is for children aged 5-13 years of age with autism.  The gorup oragnises lots of activities and runs an after school club.  Groups are held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (term-time only).  There is also support for the whole family and home visits can be arranged.
