3.1 Equipment for Daily Living
 

An assessment for equipment and adaptations needed in your home can be requested from the Occupational Therapist, Children's Disabilities and Health Team. If your chils has serious walking difficulties ask your child's occpuational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker or doctor for a referral to your nearest wheelchair service.  You will be assessed either at home or at your local NHS Wheelchair Service Centre.

The Disabled Living Foundation offers advice on choosing children's everyday living, mobility and play equipment.

3.2 Bedding and Clothing
 

If your child has wetting or soiling problems (often called incontinence or enuresis) due to a disability you may be able to get continence equipment from your local health service. Ask at your GP's surgery through the Health Visitor.

Free nappies are available after the age of 4 for children who are incontinent.

Bed Linen Hire

INCO bed linen hire service is a joint initiative between Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council Home Care Services and the Doncaster Healthcare Trust Laundry Services.

The aim is to provide a bed linen service to children and adults with an identified continence problem. It is available to those with a continence problem with identifiable needs. The service is available on a daily basis to a maximum of 5 collections per week. There is a charge for this service.
