Parents and carers of pupils who will be going to secondary school in September 2018 are being urged to complete their admission forms before 30 November.
Applications need to be submitted now so parents have the best chance of getting a place at a school they want.
Cllr Nuala Fennelly Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Schools said: "I’d urge all parents to apply before the closing date to make sure they have the best chance of securing a place at their preferred secondary school. We do our best to meet everyone’s preferences if they get their application in before the deadline.
“By working with us, parents and carers can ensure that their young person will have the best access to education in Doncaster, helping them to achieve their full potential.”
In 2017 98% of applicants who applied by the closing date were offered one of their preferences and 92.5% were offered places at their first choice.
The next closing date for September 2018 admission to Secondary Schools is 30 November 2017.
For further information and advice, parents and carers can either contact their local school or call Doncaster Council on 01302 737204 for school admissions.
