To place a skip on the highway, without first applying for and being granted a licence, is an offence under The Highways Act 1980 and may result in a prosecution.
(NOTE: To place a builders skip on any part of the highway you must first of all obtain a permit from this Authority) (see Licence - Skip Permit)
The unauthorised placement of builders' skips within a highway is both DANGEROUS and ILLEGAL.
