Disabled Parking Permit (previously Orange Badge)

Parking cards or Blue Badges are only issued to certain categories of disabled people and the eligibility criteria are strictly interpreted. You will be eligible to receive a card if you:

1. Are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate for help with getting around
2. Are registered blind under Section 29 of the National Assistance Act 1948
3. Are in receipt of War Pensions Mobility Supplement
4. Drive a vehicle regularly, and have a severe congenital disability in both arms, and are unable to operate, or have considerable dificulty in operating all or some types of parking meter
5. Suffer from a permanent and substantial disability that causes you to be unable to walk, or have  considerable difficulty in walking. 

These criteria are explained in the attached notes for guidance. To apply under 1, 2 or 3 above, documentary proof is required.

If you consider that you may qualify for a parking card please contact your local Doncaster Council Office for an application form or download a form by clicking on the relevant document below. 

Forms should be printed and then completed in black ink.  The completed form, two passport size photographs and a cheque or postal order for £2.00, made payable to Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, should be posted to your nearest Doncaster Council Office (addresses provided in the Notes for Applicants document below). 

The information you include on the form will be stored on computer and on paper by Doncaster Council in order to process your request and maintain a register of people who hold parking badges.
