How you can become a councillor

Doncaster Council has 63 Ward Councillors, 3 for each of it's 21 wards, who have been chosen at elections over the past three years.

They represent the views of people like you, and come from your local community.

Anyone can be elected as a Ward or Parish Councillor whether or not they belong to a political party.

If you have strong views about an issue, want to help your community, or represent its views, then this guide will give you an insight to decide whether it's the job for you.
