
Living in a democratic society is important and you should exercise your right to vote on the issues that affect you. If an issue comes up that you want to have your say on, if you’re on the register you’ll have the chance to vote on it – you could make a real difference!
The first step to voting is to make sure you are on the Register of Electors. You can apply for this by downloading a Voter Registration Form from this area of the website, or by contacting the council’s Electoral Services team, using the details at the top of this web page.
If you are not on the register of electors, you cannot vote! Once you are registered to vote, you can make your mark in 3 ways:
