Thresholds

The EC Procurement Directive has been incorporated into UK law. It applies to contracts above certain levels:

• £139,893 in respect of contracts for goods and services; and
• £3,497,313 for works contracts.                     

When contract values are over the above thresholds then the tenders are subject to EU rules. These tenders must be advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and follow the EU Public Sector Timescales from dispatch to OJEU.
