In order to support Doncaster Council in Achieving its Full Potential, all goods, works and services bought by the Council shall be attained by obtaining the best value product or service, which will provide the maximum benefit for the citizens of Doncaster.
The Council spends in the excess of £330m with suppliers on various goods and services, providing businesses of all sizes with a wide range of commercial opportunities. Doncaster Council is always looking to work with suppliers to improve services to customers. Whatever the size of your business, there will be an opportunity to supply the Council.
As a Council we believe the lack of information about opportunities, and a lack of understanding about how the Council's contracting procedures operate, often prevent firms from applying to tender for Council contracts. Doncaster Council wants to help increase the capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises and Black Minority Ethnic Firms, helping them become 'Fit to Compete' and able to secure contracts from main service providers. It is hoped this will generate increased workloads which will in turn help local employment and generate other community benefits.
