About the National Procurement Strategy

The present government believes that getting procurement right is important and it is about improving the delivery and cost effectiveness of quality public services to citizens.

The National Procurement Strategy has helped councils recognise the potential of effective and innovative procurement to improve service delivery. It will help councils to realise potential savings and other benefits from working together in Partnership.
