The Schools Procurement Service is a traded service available for Doncaster schools. It covers:
A point of contact in the Council for help with procurement issues;
Access (Where applicable) to the council's contracts, for supply of goods and services;
The provision of a Visa purchase card and card payment administration system for non-bank account schools, to enable more efficient ordering and payment;
Procurement advice and guidance for staff;
The promotion of collaborative procurement arrangements with other public sector organisations to ensure schools have access to efficient contracts;
Corporate Procurement will assist schools in their development of procurement approaches;
Adviceto schools on the implementation of modern procurement practices, systems and processes to ensure that schools can embrace new technology and achieve good value for money;
Corporate Procurement will offer guidance to schools on any procurement practices (where resources are available) in order to achieve value for money;
The provision of a dedicated schools procurement website;
The service is delivered by the Schools E-Procurement Support Officer, Christine Morgan who is part of Doncaster Council's Corporate Procurement Team at Colonnades House, Doncaster.
