Introduction

The Mayor appoints a Cabinet of up to nine persons from the Elected Members of the Council to advise and support him. Each Cabinet Member has a specific portfolio responsibility. Working within the framework of an approved policy and budget, the Mayor and Cabinet make executive decisions. 

Unless matters of commercial confidence are being discussed, all meetings of the Cabinet are open to the public.
