All local authorities need to complete a General User Satisfaction Survey at triennial intervals to comply with the duty of Best Value introduced as part of the 1999 Local Government Act.
Layout, content and order was preset by Central Government. Doncaster Council had to send out all surveys by the end of November to meet Central Government deadlines.
The Survey was sent to 6,000 households and we had a return of around 2,200 surveys - a response rate of approximately 37%.
The results for each of the questions were collated, analysed and brought together in a report that can be accessed from the documents provided below. Our Best Value performance Indicator (BVPI) returns with a comparison with the previous return in 2003/04 can also be viewed.
