Under Best Value, all Councils have a duty to deliver continuous improvements in service delivery and publish a Best Value Performance Plan by the 30th of June each year. Our Performance Plan provides a thorough overview of the Council’s aspirations, performance and targets for future years.
The main requirement for a Performance Plan is to report how its services have performed against mandatory Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs) set by the Audit Commission and the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG) along with locally set performance indicators. It also details the targets that have been set for improving performance over the next financial year.
The 2007/08 Performance Plan reflects the excellent overall progress that Doncaster Council has continued to make over the past year - demonstrating that the Council's methods of challenging its performance and putting in place measures to improve it are clearly working.
