The Council and its partners have revised Doncaster's Sustainable Borough Strategy to ensure it captures an up to date understanding of the long term challenges and opportunities in Doncaster up until 2025.
The Strategy sets out the long-term strategic direction for improving the economic, social and environmental well-being of Doncaster. To be 'Sustainable' the Strategy must meet the needs of the present without affecting the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

It provides the evidence base for the focus of Local Area Agreement – which is the three-year delivery plan for the Sustainable Borough Strategy. A copy is available on the LAA pages.
Doncaster's Partnership Boards will drive the implementation of the Priorities.
The Discover the Spirit (DtS) Board is the Doncaster’s main partnership Board. The DtS Board is chaired by the Mayor of Doncaster and includes senior representatives from all key Doncaster delivery organisations, for example the Police, the Primary Care Trust, the Chamber of Commerce and the Third Sector (voluntary and community sector).
There are five Boards leading on key aspects of the shared priorities:

• Healthier Doncaster
• Enterprising Doncaster
• Stronger & Sustainable Doncaster
