Doncaster’s Borough Strategy "Shaping Our Future: A Strategy for the Borough of Doncaster, 2005 - 2010" was agreed in 2005 and sets out the long-term strategic direction for Doncaster.

The Local Area Agreement (LAA) Shared Priorities document agreed by the Council and its partners in January 2007 replaced the previous LAA (agreed in March 2005) and the Council Corporate Plan. It set out the actions we would be taking to implement the 2005 Borough strategy.

The Borough Stratgey and LAA are currently being reviewed. Consultation on Doncaster’s priorities has been underway since October 2007. The following stakeholder groups over the has shaped the latest draft priorities for the Borough Strategy and LAA:
The Discover the Spirit Board and its four Theme Boards are leading the review of the Borough Stratgey and LAA – taking into account the views of the Council, individual delivery organisations and the general public.
The Discover the Spirit (DtS) Board is the Doncaster’s main partnership Board. The DtS Board is chaired by the Mayor of Doncaster and includes senior representatives from all key Doncaster delivery organisations, for example the Police, the Primary Care Trust, the Chamber of Commerce and the Third Sector (voluntary and community sector).
