What is the IEG Statement?

The Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) statement is a corporate report which details Doncaster  Council's achievement towards the e-enablement of its service delivery.

To date, the IEG and associated Priority Outcome process has been extremely successful in engaging councils nationally and in promoting a corporate approach to e-Government. Nationally, the IEG process also provides a valuable source of information from which the Government can identify overall progress in implementing electronic local government.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) publishes the pro-forma for IEG returns either on the Local e-Government website www.localegov.gov.uk or through the electronic service delivery (ESD) toolkit. IEG returns enable local authorities to report their success in improving service delivery through the e-Government Agenda.
