What we do
Operational Support is responsible for commissioning, management and support of the Council’s servers and storage, located in the central data centres. This includes security of the Council's electronic data and databases. We support over 150 servers, hosting business and corporate systems.
Our service includes:
- Managing the data centres, including security and maximum availability of the ICT services
- Providing storage and back up of data for all the centrally located servers
- Technical support, administration and management of the databases
- Messaging services such as email and blackberry
- Large or bulk data printing services
- Business continuity and resilience
