South/East

The South and East Area of Doncaster is made up of a mixture of rural and urban communities. Six distinct urbanised blocks have been identified as Neighbourhood Management areas: 

• Thorne and Moorends (including Hatfield Woodhouse and Hatfield Prison)
• Armthorpe (including Edenthorpe, Kirk Sandall and Barnby Dun)
• Hatfield and Stainforth (including Dunscroft, Dunsville, Fishlake & Fosterhouses, Sykehouse, Braithwaite & Kirk Bramwith),
• Bawtry and Tickhill (including Austerfield, Finningley, Auckley aand Wadworth)
• Bessacarr and Cantley (including Branton)
• Rossington

There is a wide diversity of economic activities within the area ranging from agricultural farming and small businesses to large multi national conglomerates. Businesses such as Ikea, Toyota and Next can be found on the West Moor Park Industrial Estate (Armthorpe) and with the opening of the Doncaster Airport it is envisaged that there will be a great deal of business expansion within the area over the next few years.
