The performance framework for local government is about improving the quality of life in places and better public services. It brings together national standards and priorities set by the Government with local priorities informed by the vision developed by local authority and it’s partners. A clear set of national outcomes and a single set of national indicators by which to measure progress against them are a key building block for the framework.
The Planning Department have three core National Indicators (NIs) which we strive to achieve, these indicators being NI 157a, 157b and 157c.
NI 157a
Percentage of planning application determined in line with the Government’s Development Control targets to determine 60% of major applications in 13 weeks.
NI157b
Percentage of planning applications determined in line with the Government’s Development Control targets to determine 65% of minor applications in 8 weeks.
NI 157c
Percentage of planning applications determined in line with the Government’s Development Control targets to determine 80% of other applications in 8 weeks.
