Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD), whilst not having development plan status, form part of the Local Development Framework. A number of existing Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) documents have been prepared and adopted by the Council and are currently in use as guidance for applicants and others involved in the planning process. It is intended that these will be replaced over time by SPDs.
A proposed program of the new SPDs is set out in the Local Development Scheme. Draft SPDs published for public consultation and adopted SPDs will be available on this page.

Consultations for LDF documents are now carried out via the Public Access system. To use the system please use the following link, this page will allow you to enter the system and contains an instruction manual for Public Access - LDF.
To use Public Access for LDF consultations you are required to register, please follow the instructions on how to do this. If you have previously submitted comments about the LDF you will have received a Public Access (PA) customer login, please use this instead of registering again.
