The Council is currently reconsidering its approach to detailed planning issues in the town centre and for the time being proposes to take no further action on the St Sepulchre Gate West Area Action Plan.
Further information will be available in the early part of 2010.

The planning framework for the future development of the St Sepulchre Gate West area over the period to 2021, which will provide new housing, jobs, shopping, leisure and new and enhanced public spaces
Policies on the range of uses, urban design and the environment, transport and access, management and infrastructure and sustainability
A Delivery and Implementation Plan for the regeneration of the area
The St Sepulchre Gate West AAP has been through a number of stages:
The Baseline Report was published and consulted on in November / December 2006
The Issues and Options Reports and the Sustainability Appraisal were consulted on from the 7th May to early June 2007
The Preferred Options Report was subject to a six week statutory consultation period from the 26th November 2007 to the 11th January 2008
The Proposed Submission version of the AAP will be published later.
