What is a Safer Neighbourhood Team?

Doncaster Council has its own Safer Neighbourhood Teams, consisting of a sergeant, a neighbourhood manager, a team leader, police officers, community safety wardens and police community support officers.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team work to reduce crime and disorder by targeting relevant properties, targeting prolific and priority offenders, gathering crime and community intelligence and by providing educational messages covering Adwick Le Street, Brodsworth & Pickburn, Carcroft, Clayton, Hampole & Skelbrooke, Hickleton, Marr, Skellow and Woodlands.

What is a Safer Neighbourhood Area?

Doncaster North has its own Safer Neighbourhood Area covering Doncaster Council's Neighbourhood Management Areas as below:

What does a Safer Neighbourhood Team do?

The Safer Neighbourhood Team works with the community and partner agencies to help tackle locally identified issues such as quality of life problems like graffiti, noisy neighbours, anti social behaviour and vandalism. Their aim is to listen and talk to local people and to work with them to help reduce crime and improve neighbourhoods and communities to become, safer, cleaner and greener.
