Protect your property at www.immobilise.com

The Safer Doncaster Partnership is encouraging residents to register their mobile phone and other valuable property at www.immobilise.com, a website which lets you record your items for free. By registering your property you stand a much better chance of getting it back if it is lost or stolen.

Get Immobilised

Immobilise is the worlds largest FREE register of possession ownership and searchable register of stolen goods and blocked mobile phones.
Uniquely via an Immobilise account UK users can record any registered item as lost or stolen and this instantly appears on the Police National Stolen Equipment Database. This online checking service is used by all the UK Police forces to trace owners of stolen property.

As well as your mobile you can also register other items of property including:

• Stereos and Ipods
• Satellite Navigators and in car entertainment 
• Bicycles
• Art and antiques
• Laptops
• Jewellery and watches    

What to do if your phone is stolen?

For UK members if your mobile phone is lost or stolen, call your network operator. Your phone will be blocked just like a stolen credit card.
After reporting your phone to your network you should also log into your Immobilise account to flag your phone as lost or stolen, this then displays the information on the National Police Database of stolen and lost property.

If you were the subject of a crime you should also contact your local police station, or the police station nearest to where the theft or loss took place, and inform them of what happened. They will assist you and provide the required references for insurance claims etc.

If you have mobile phone insurance, you should also contact your Insurance provider to report any loss or theft.

Don’t forget that you can also report other items that you have registered by logging onto your immobilise account.
