The Depot Community Drugs Team, based at the Hall Gate Centre in Mexborough, provides support for drug users and their families to the Communities of Mexborough, Conisbrough and Denaby. Sharing accomodation with the Shared Care Team, part of the Doncaster Drugs Team, The Garage, based in Doncaster, the two teams provide a comprehensive service to support people through the treatment process, offering a Doctor's Clinic, harm reduction advice and the opportunity to maintain a drug-free lifestyle. They also provide support with social issues such as, Housing, Benefits and Employment, Education or Training.
Families, friends and carers of drug users can access confidential advice and information from the Family Support Service, and can be put it touch with other people in a similar situation through support groups. In this way they can provide mutual support to each other, as well as finding out about other agencies that may be able to help.
As well as one to one support the Team also provide the following sessions:
‘Newstart’ Peer Support Group- Mexborough
For people drug free or aiming to be so, client led group.
Every Monday 1.30pm - 3pm, The Hall Gate Centre, Hall Gate, Mexborough
Family Fun Drop In - Mexborough
For drug using families with young children. Different fun activity every week and free snack.
Every Tuesday 1pm – 3pm, The Hall Gate Centre, Hall Gate, Mexborough
Open Door Session - Mexborough
For drug users and/or families wishing to access support or treatment
Every Wednesday 2pm - 3pm, The Hall Gate Centre, Hall Gate, Mexborough
Open Door Session - Denaby
For drug users and/or families wishing to access support or treatment
Every Thursday 11am - 1pm, The Tom Hill Youth Club, Wadworth Street, Denaby
