Doncaster Council is helping to beat the burglars by providing households across the borough with free Smartwater – a property marking system which is proven to reduce burglary.
SmartWater, a colourless, odourless liquid which security marks valuable property with a unique chemical formula, is currently offered free to homes in Neighbourhood Renewal Fund areas of Doncaster [see list below] and has already helped reduce burglary by 13.5% in these areas in just six months.
If you or a member of your family live in one of the areas below, you can claim your FREE Smartwater by phoning 01302 736000 emailing smartwater@doncaster.gov.uk or by contacting your local area office or community safety warden. Simply give your name, full address including postcode, telephone number and best time to call on you, and someone will be in touch.
Even if you do not live in one of the above areas you can still benefit from a fantastic discount scheme that the Safer Doncaster Partnership has agreed with SmartWater.
A discount of 20% against the normal retail price of SmartWater is available to residents and businesses operating in Doncaster. Simply log on to www.smartwater.com order your Smartwater, and enter the promotional code SW002 to benefit from the discount.
At just £28.23 per household, this makes it one of the cheapest and most effective security products you can buy for your home, you can also save 15% on your home insurance through the scheme.
