What is anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour can include various types of behaviour, for example, abandoning cars, vandalism, graffiti, noisy parties, littering and youth nuisance. The FLAG (Fighting Litter, Abandoned cars and Graffiti) team and Community Safety Wardens respond to reports of anti-social behaviour, and take the appropriate action. Clearing litter, removing graffiti, or organising activities for young people are just some of the ways we are tackling anti-social behaviour.

What can the Council do about anti-social behaviour?

The Council has the power to tackle anti-social behaviour regardless of whether the person is a council tenant, private tenant, homeowner or an organisation. It has obtained many anti-social behaviour orders, which prohibit the offender from specific anti-social activities, or from going to particular places where they have caused a nuisance. Offenders can also be prohibited from contacting certain people who are known to cause trouble with them. Anti-social behaviour orders are a very effective way to deal with these types of problems.

What can I do if I am suffering from anti-social behavioural problems?

Safer Doncaster Partnership is stepping up its fight against anti-social Behaviour in the borough – and has identified a number of priority issues which it has pledged to tackle.

We do not expect residents to suffer in silence and put up with anti-social behaviour of any kind. For more information please anti-social behaviour

Can I report anti-social behaviour to the Council?

As the team deal only with the most serious cases, they cannot accept reports directly from the public. The aim is to resolve the problem without the need to take legal action whenever possible, but this may be the only way to stop persistent and serious anti-social behaviour.

How do I report anti-social behaviour?

There are a number of ways to report anti-social behaviour. In addition to approaching a Community Safety Warden in the community, you can also contact us in the following way:
