This project will clear the existing properties, then design and redevelop the site in order to achieve a sustainable housing mix of type and tenure thus creating a sustainable community. It will create a better mix of housing in terms of tenure and type and create a pleasant and safe residential area. 

This will meet the need for an increase in affordable housing to provide more choice for Mexborough.  The redevelopment will also provide rear fenced gardens and well designed safety features which will discourage crime and improve the visual aspect of the street and to other properties nearby.
