To make our service accessible to all our customers, we provide extra help in the following ways:
For customers who are deaf | We have a minicom line and staff who are trained in basic sign language. |
For customers who are blind or cannot read small print | We can arrange to provide information in Braille or large print on request |
For customers who have been recently bereaved | We have staff who have been trained to understand the needs of those customers |
For customers who cannot speak English | We can normally arrange for information to be translated into their own language |
For customers who cannot come out of their home because they are elderly or disabled | We can visit them at home – please contact 01302 734454 |
For customers who have difficulty filling in forms for the Council Tax Office | We can allow them to be completed by someone on their behalf |
For disabled customers applying for a reduction in Council Tax, we will visit them at home at a time convenient to the individual | Contact 01302 734454 - go to www.doncaster.gov.uk for an application form, follow the links for Council Tax then discount forms and leaflets |
