The Public Health Team controls statutory nuisances from noise, odour, refuse, private drainage and drug litter. It monitors the quality of private water supplies and leisure water and has a liaison role with the water companies. Animal welfare conditions are enforced in pet shops, boarding kennels and dog breeding establishments.
