Advisory Role

So as not to give the impression that food safety solely involves enforcement the other side of the Food Safety and Standards team’s work must be stressed. This involves the advisory and consultative roles adopted by the Division in relation to planning applications, new businesses, new and forthcoming legislation, advice to specific sectors of the food industry, the use of suitable equipment and materials and other matters relating to composition and labelling of their products.
