Introduction

The quality of the local environment is important to people, and the Council operates to a cleansing standard set out in the Environmental Protection Act 1990 Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse. We ensure areas are cleansed to a high standard in order to be attractive for residents, visitors, existing and new investors within the Borough. We pride ourselves in our efforts to make Doncaster Cleaner, Greener and Safer.

Take PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Doncaster's Environment) is the message to residents to encourage everyone to do their bit to keep the Borough clean and green. PRIDE was launched in 2004 as part of a campaign to have cleaner streets in Doncaster.

Will you remove litter from any piece of land?

We will try to keep areas free of litter and refuse as far as is reasonably practical.

If the litter is on private land, it is the responsibility of the landowner, however we will take action wherever possible to improve unsightly landscapes.

How do I report litter in the street?

You can report any problems with litter by ringing the number shown at the top of this page or you can complete the online report form below:

Litter Report Form

It is helpful if you can provide as much information about the exact location, type and quantity of litter.
