Disposing of Asbestos from Households

Doncaster Council offers a free collection to Domestic residents within the Borough of Doncaster for Asbestos (Bonded only). This includes the collection, transportation and disposal of cement bonded asbestos, e.g asbestos used in the construction of garages, sheds, gutters and fall pipes etc. 

To arrange collection contact Customer Services, contact details are shown at the top of this web page, who will take details of your collection. 

Asbestos for removal must be collected from within the boundary of the premises and must be: 

• accessible at time of collection 
• clean and dismantled
• All sheets to be double wrapped in polythene
• broken pieces of asbestos to be double bagged                  

Collections will be made on a Wednesday or Thursday depending upon demand for the service.

Alternatively disposal facilities are available at the Armthorpe Household Waste Recycling Centre, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster. The site is open 7 days a week from 8.30am - 7pm.  Please report to the Site Attendant with asbestos. The site is closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. The site is available to all Residents of Doncaster but not Businesses, Trade or Commercial operators who wish to dispose of waste.
