The Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) 2004 came into force on the 1st January 2005. Although they come under the umbrella of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the EIR deal with requests to the Council for specific types of information relating to the environment.
The types of information which are covered by the EIR 2004 are detailed in the attached document together with a brief explanation of the scope of the regulations.
The Council can levy a charge for providing the information and a schedule of costs can be found on this web site.
