The Pollution Control Team are responsible for controlling the emissions to atmosphere of most of the industrial and commercial processes within the Borough. This is achieved by issuing a permit under the Pollution, Prevention and Control Regulations (PPC).
A permit consists of a number of conditions that are written with regard to the Secretary of State's guidance notes on the techniques that are appropriate for the control of emissions to the environment.
By opening the attached document below, you can access a list containing all the industrial and commercial installations located within the Borough that are controlled by the local authority under the above legislation.
