In Doncaster we have established a working group known as the Doncaster Biodiversity Action Partnership (DBAP) which Doncaster Council supports through membership and funding. The Partnership was established as the leading body in developing the Local Biodiversity Action Plan.
This group has identified the species and habitats which make Doncaster special and these will have individual 'Biodiversity Action Plans' drawn up. Examples of these local priorities are: heathland which covered large areas to the south of Doncaster town centre but is now restricted to several smaller areas, and the Scarce Vapourer moth which has a stronghold in the eastern part of the borough.
Current DBAP Executive members list:
DBAP Chair – Mr J. Siddall
DBAP Vice Chair - Mr. C. Watson
DBAP Secretary – Mrs. M. Massarella
DBAP Treasurer – Ms. L. Hill
