What to do if you find a stray dog

During normal office hours

Between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, ring the Council on 01302 736000, and ask for the Dog Warden Service. You will be advised that you can drop the dog off at the Council’s holding Kennels at Mount Pleasant Kennels, Wakefield Road, Hampole, Doncaster.

If you are unable to take the dog, arrangements can be made for the Dog Warden to call and collect the contained dog from your premises, often the same working day.

Outside normal office hours

Outside normal office hours on a weekday and at any time at weekends, you can contact 01302 341628 for advice and information. Arrangements can be made for you to take the dog to Council’s holding Kennels at Mount Pleasant Kennels, Wakefield Road, Hampole Doncaster.
