The All Together Sports Club is dedicated to bringing together people with learning or physical disabilities to take part in organised sports activities.
The aim of the club is to encourage and support young people with a disability to take part in organised sports activities, and also take part in the planning process raising self-esteem, motivation and confidence by building on and transferring, their skills and building new skills.
Young people will also have the opportunity to try new sports for fun, or use the group as a stepping-stone to go to the top of their chosen sport and take part in major sporting events like the Paralympics. This is how sporting stars like Tanny Gray Thompson started out.
If you are interested just call (01302) 737858 or come along at 5.30pm on Tuesdays to Dearne Valley Leisure Centre. Bring your shorts, T-shirt and a drink to take part in lots of different activities, including basketball, cricket, football, athletics and much more.
We finish at 7.00pm and all we ask for is a fifty pence donation each week.
