What does moderate intensity mean?
Activities that make you slightly warm and breathe a little harder than normal. You should still be able to talk and exercise at the same time.
- Brisk Walking
- Gardening
- Dancing
- Energetic housework
- Swimming
Make activity part of your daily life
- Be active as often as possible - even if it is only for 5 minutes
- Go for a walk in your lunchtime.
- Climb the stairs more frequently
- Avoid sitting for long periods
- Increase activity at the weekends or on days off.
- Try to walk or cycle on your daily journeys rather than going by car.
