Introduction
Doncaster Club Accreditation (DCA) assists clubs to develop, help prove their quality and gain recognition.
What does it involve?
We have taken all the criteria required for Clubmark and divided them into 3 easy to achieve levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. With the help of Doncaster Council's Sport Development Team, easy to use guidebooks and ready-made templates, clubs can work through the levels, putting into place procedures that will benefit them, their members and their local communities. As clubs progress they will receive advice, support, publicity and many other great rewards.
What are the benefits?
- Reassuring parents and teachers that club's are child friendly, safe and hold up to date policies and emergency procedures
- Encouraging strong partnership working with schools, governing bodies and local authorities to help your club grow.
- Helping clubs receive greater publicity and exposure through many different resources.
- Making becoming a Clubmark more achievable
- Help bring in new members and more volunteers

Does it help clubs achieve Clubmark?
What is the difference between Clubmark and Doncaster Club Accreditation? Almost nothing! Clubmark is a national club development and accreditation scheme that is run by Sport England and many national governing bodies of sport. However, not all clubs can prove their worth as not all sports run the scheme; and when they do, Clubmark can appear a daunting challenge and confusing to complete.
In Doncaster, we have worked with our partners to devise a more structured, logical and easier approach for ALL clubs to be able to improve and develop. On achieving Gold accreditation the clubs that are eligible for clubmark will have completed 95% of the criteria required and will then be eligible for that award too.
