Doncaster Council issues Leisure Cards FREE to Doncaster residents* who qualify. A Leisure Card entitles the holder to large savings on a wide range of leisure activities for people aged 19 or over who meet the required criteria.

Great News - If you are 60 or over you are automatically entitled to a Leisure Card and can use it to access swimming FREE of charge

You qualify if you live within the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough* and can bring proof that you are:

It entitles you to up to 50% saving on the normal adult price for a range of leisure activities and a substantial saving for dependant children on council run swimming lessons. Most activities are available for use with a leisure card except sunbeds, team games and facility hire.

Leisure Cards are issued free at your local Sports Centre or Customer Service Centre during normal opening hours. The Customer Service centres issuing the pass are;

It is advisable to telephone in advance to check if there are specific times for issuing Leisure Cards. You will need to complete the Application Form (downloadable from this web page or available at the leisure centre) and provide the following:

*You must pay your Council Tax to Doncaster MBC to be classed as a resident.

You can use it 7 days a week, at most facilities at any time during most public sessions (restrictions may apply with some fitness activities).

Golf at Crookhill Park Golf Course during all opening hours except weekends and Bank Holidays

The card is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Over 60's passes have no expiry date.

Great News: Over 60's can swim Free of Charge with their Leisure Card.

RSPB Old Moor (Dearne Valley)
Old Moor is a wonderful place to watch birds and other wildlife. Through a programme of events aimed at the whole family, we aim the give local people and visitors the chance to see wildlife and increase their understanding and enthusiasm for protecting it. Use the external website link in the Related Links menu on the left hand side of the page for further details.

The Dome

You are now able to use your card at The Dome for swimming only, Monday to Friday before 4pm in school term time

You can also use your leisure card to gain discounted access at various sporting venues in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Wakefield.  Please find details of the Cross Boundary Scheme and the centres currently involved in the scheme at the bottom of the page.

ONE FOR ONE Scheme

If you qualify for a Leisure Card and need the support of a carer or helper to enable you to take part in physical activity, you can ask for a One for One sticker to be applied to your Leisure Card.

The One for One scheme entitles carers or personal assistants to free admission - only to support the disabled person to participate safely. If the carer wishes to participate in the activities with the disabled person, they will be charged the leisure card price. In the case of swimming the carer is entitled to enter the pool free of charge when accompanying the disabled person.

You will qualify by showing proof of one of the following benefits -
