What we provide

Doncaster Council's Active Doncaster provides a range of opportunities for local people to participate in sport and physical activity. We want to support and develop both the quality and quantity of facilities, instructors, coaches, volunteers, players and participants. The service rarely works alone and its successes are due to its commitment to partnership working and the support of those partners.

Community Active Recreation and Physical Activity Development

By working in partnership with the Neighbourhood Team in Cantley & Bessacarr, Active Doncaster has a Community Active Recreation Officer (CARDO) based in that area.
Their aim is to get more people actively participating and organising sports and physical activities that meet the needs of their local area.

The Community Sport & Physical Activity Development Team within Active Doncaster work in partnership with the CARDO and community organisations to positively tackle barriers to participation and ensure that new developments have long term effects.
