Green Star Canoe Club

The club was founded in 1993 by Esther Mathews and is based in Doncaster at St James' Baths in winter and Hatfield Water Park through the summer. We draw members from as far as Barnsley in the West to Scunthorpe & Grimsby in the east. It has grown to be one of the largest and most active clubs in the area and even nationally - it is one of the largest slalom clubs in the country, supports polo teams in several regional and national divisions and plays a large part in training, coaching and skills development in the Yorkshire Region. 

The objects of the club are:

• To get as many people as possible, of all ages and abilities, enjoying the sport and recreation of canoeing.
  
• To provide an environment and the basic essential equipment to enable members to extend their skills and enhance their individual performance, with due regard to safety.
  
• To encourage members to teach others and thus pass on their skills and expertise.
  
• To encourage fair play and consideration for the feelings of others.
