About the Society

Establishing in 1880 and having a hand in the creation of Doncaster Museum, this small group of volunteer wildlife enthusiasts works closely with the Local Authority (Museum, Greenspace, Planning, Countryside)  in monitoring and surveying local wildlife sites and species in Doncaster's countryside.

It has an active programme of outdoor site visits and indoor talks and workshops, and, at present, is helping to formulate the Doncaster Biodiversity Action Plan.
