Introduction

Doncaster Choral Society is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and has a membership of over 80 choristers. The choir was begun in 1888 and was known as The Doncaster Musical Society. The first concert was Messiah, performed at the Corn Exchange.

Today's choir enjoys concert engagements comprising a blend of secular and religious works, including Requiems, Masses as well as specially commissioned works. - from the more formal at Priory Place Methodist Church, to appearances at local churches and the Market Place. 

The choir practices every week on Tuesdays at the Yorkshire Residential School for the Deaf in Doncaster, all are welcome as long as you love music. Our musical director is Alan Eost accompanied by Ron Law.
