Our philosophy

Hatfield Water Park Outdoor Activity Centre aims to provide challenging and enjoyable outdoor-based activities for school and youth groups. Our activity programmes are designed and delivered to aid the holistic development of all participants. From an afternoon or morning, right through to a full week of activities, we offer complete flexibility in the ‘design’ of your activity programme. Following discussion we will plan and develop an activity programme that will allow your group to fully achieve their aims and objectives.

Not only are the activities challenging, but also fully structured to ensure that participants develop skills, fulfil their potential and have some fun! We believe in having sessions of sufficient length to ensure that there is a mix of activity and review to both undertake and consolidate learning.

On-site activities include:

School curriculum links

Our activities for schools don’t just happen outside. We are able to provide the relevant resources including access to ICT facilities so that school groups can cover aspects of the National Curriculum whilst undertaking outdoor activities at the centre.

Recognised courses

Experienced coaches are able to offer a wide variety of British Canoe Union and Royal Yachting Association certificated courses in kayaking, canoeing, dinghy sailing and power boating. These can be integrated into your activity programme or delivered as a stand-alone programme over a number of days or weeks.

Challenge activities

We are able to offer other activities and training in areas such as first aid, water safety, navigation and other land based disciplines.

Safety

Safety is paramount and all activity sessions are lead by qualified and experienced instructors.

Off-site activities

We are able to offer some off-site activities within the surrounding area. Enquire using the contact details at the top of this page for more details.
